Areas of expertise
Life’s challenges can affect how we feel, how we connect with others, and how we navigate everyday life. Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, therapy offers a supportive space to explore concerns, build coping skills, and work toward meaningful change. My approach is tailored to each person’s needs, experiences, and goals.

Adult Therapy
I have experience working with adults who are experiencing anxiety and depression related to life’s challenges and changes. These may include relationship concerns, transitions, grief, and loss. Together, we explore these experiences and develop practical tools for coping, communication, and personal growth.
My work includes an approach developed by Dr. William Glasser called Choice Theory, which explores personal choices, relationships, and how we respond to our needs. I also incorporate traditional talk therapy, somatic therapy, Brain Gym, and other approaches based on each individual’s needs.
Somatic Therapy
Somatic therapy brings attention to the connection between emotions and physical sensations. This may include gently noticing tension, breathing patterns, or other sensations in the body and exploring grounding techniques.
I incorporate these practices at a pace that feels comfortable for each individual. They offer another way to develop awareness and support the work we do in talk therapy.
Child/Teen Therapy
I have over thirty years of experience working with children, teens, and families. This includes supporting young people who feel sad, anxious, or worried, as well as those experiencing behavioral challenges at home or school.
I have extensive experience in trauma-informed care for children who have experienced abuse, neglect, accidents, grief, and loss. My approach considers each child’s developmental stage and creates space for them to express themselves in ways that feel comfortable.
Along with cognitive behavioral approaches, I incorporate Play Therapy and Brain Gym into skill building. Therapy focuses on helping children and teens understand their feelings, develop coping tools, and strengthen communication.
Family Therapy
I have over thirty years of experience and specialized training in marriage and family therapy. Family relationships can face challenges during periods of stress, change, or conflict, and therapy provides a space to explore those concerns together.
I often work with children and parents to develop tools for coping, stress management, and communication. Together, we work toward a better understanding of one another’s needs and more supportive ways of responding to everyday challenges.
